Best Sandwich Addition

Growing up in the Boston area, I enjoyed many great sub sandwiches as a kid. My favorite has always been the Italian…great roll, layers of meat and cheese and the best ingredient, the mixed up vegi’s inside (the “addition”). The vegi mix is a combination of diced tomato, dill pickles and onions and then to spice it up, some hot pepper flakes and salt and pepper all mixed up with EVOO. I ALWAYS have to have this mix on my subs and frankly I’ve missed it living out here in AZ as it doesn’t seem to exist (they just don’t know what they are missing). So I’ve decided to share this mix with the world. It will go great on any sandwich I’m sure, but you must have it with a sturdy roll as the oil will soften the bread a lot…and you must have the mix in contact with the bread so that it gets absorbed into it….mmmmm sounds good right? So anyway, my gift to the world for today is done, enjoy!
