Freezing temperatures in Phoenix!

Where am I? It’s been a chilly winter here in Phoenix Arizona this year. Upon leaving my house this morning I came across my car that was completely incased in a layer of ice….what the heck? I’ve been living in Phoenix for about 13 years and this is a very rare event. The winters here in Phoenix are usually very mild. We get rain during the winter, but we hardly ever see snow or ice.
My mother, who lives in MA, has been in town for over a week now and has seen maybe 2 nice days of weather. I feel bad for her. She had this vision of laying outside in 70 degree weather getting some sun, but instead she’s been dreaming of her winter coat back east that she didn’t bring because…well, who needs a winter coat in Phoenix? It looks like the day she flys back east will be the day we will see our nice temps again…awe. Like everything, some people of loving these chilly temps…seems strange to me, but to each his own I suppose. I can not wait for the heat to return.
The Patriot’s lost the Superbowl this year to the Giant’s. I don’t usually watch football, but I joined some friends to watch the game this year. It was a good game, at least as far as I can tell. Each team really held their own and the winning score raced back and fourth all through the night. In the final quarter the Giant’s made a really good play and took the game. The Patriot’s made a few desperate attempts to get it back in the last minutes but couldn’t pull it off. All and all, it was very entertaining.
