Happy Halloween

Rick and I went to a Halloween party last night hosted by our friends Michele and Tony. It was a fun time, although I’m still not able to eat much because of my jaw surgery. I dressed as a black cat and Rick went as a 20’s gangsta. Most of the people there were dressed as gypsies. They were playing old horror movies on a wall using a projector – those old movies are so funny now… just so bad! We played a game called “Are you a werewolf?” The game is played when every person gets a card that gives you a role, either a werewolf or a villiger. Every so often every one sleeps and during the night the werewolves get together and pick a victim. To win the game the werewolves need to go undetected and one by one take out the villigers. If they get all but 2 of the villigers, they win. The villigers try to win the game by figuring out who the werewolves are and hanging them. Unfortunately, the werewolves won the game…Rick was one of them – AHHHHHHH! I had a hunch for a while (I was a villiger), but I couldn’t nominate my own husband to hang. He didn’t pick me as a victim because he thought it would create suspicion for him – clever. The party started to die down around 11:30. A few people from the party decided to crash a party around the corner, Rick and I joined them a while later. They welcomed us and it was fun. The hosts there, a husband and wife, were both pirates, however the husband went as a gay one – it was funny. We partied there until about 1:30 then went back to Michele and Tony’s, they locked us out. I guess they slipped out earlier and went to bed. We didn’t bother ringing the door bell because we didn’t want to wake anyone. My purse was inside along with my phone and ID. Rick couldn’t drive so I decided to illegally drive us home (shame on me). Luckily we only live a few miles away and didn’t get caught.
The next day I got a little ego boost. A 13 or 14 year old kid came to my door to sell stuff, I answered and he asked me if my parents were home! Isn’t that a hoot? I said “no” and he said “okay” and left. Quite a compliment for me, I get carded all the time now a days. I guess I looked young enough to still live with my parents…. ahhhh life is good sometimes.
This Halloween was also Dakotah Wiblins very first Halloween. She was so cute, dressed up as a little lamb. We took her to a couple of places so she could really have an official first Halloween. Of course everyone gooed and gawed over her – what a cutie!
